Lee Jae-myeong, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who was hospitalized after a hunger strike, is being discharged. In addition, he is launching a campaign of support for the Gangseo-gu mayor by-election.
The Democratic Party announced on the 9th, “Representative Lee토토사이트 will be discharged from Green Hospital this afternoon.”
Representative Lee, who continued his hunger strike, went to Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul around 7 a.m. on the 18th of last month and received emergency treatment. After completing emergency treatment with intravenous fluids, CEO Lee moved to Green Hospital at around 9:35 a.m. and continued treatment.
Representative Lee went out three times during his hospitalization. On the 26th of last month, he appeared in court to be interrogated as a suspect (warrant review) before arrest. On the morning of the 6th, after the arrest warrant was dismissed, the first trial was held in connection with the case of suspicion of preferential treatment in Daejang-dong and Wirye New Town. On the afternoon of the same day, he appeared at the National Assembly to vote on the fast-track bill for the special prosecution bill on the death of the late Corporal Chae Soo-geun.
The Democratic Party said, “Representative Lee will undergo recovery treatment at his home for the time being after his discharge.”
On his way to his home after being discharged from the hospital, Representative Lee also attends an intensive campaign rally for Gangseo-gu mayor candidate Jin Kyo-hoon.
Candidate Jin’s intensive campaign will be held in the park in front of Exit 1 of Balsan Station and will begin at 5:30 pm on this day. Afterwards, Representative Lee is expected to arrive at the location at 6 o’clock, approximately 30 minutes later, to campaign in support.
