Madison, Panderpen, 2023 Ends…Tottenham manager “I’ve never experienced such confusion”

There’s a crisis at Tottenham Hotspur, and it’s not just because they lost to Chelsea, ending their unbeaten run. It’s because their main players are suffering from cruciate injuries. Add to that two sending-offs, all of which happened against Chelsea. Coach Enzi Postecoglou was shaking his head.레모나토토 도메인

Postecoglou gave a press conference on Tuesday (local time) before the 12th round of the 2023-2024 English Premier League against Wolverhampton.

James Maddison was substituted after suffering an ankle strain against Chelsea in Round 11. Micky Vander Penn was stretchered off with a hamstring injury. Add to that the absence of Hicharlison against Chelsea, who underwent surgery on his pubic bone.

Maddison and van der Penn are expected to return in 2024. He is expected to miss four weeks.

Postecoglou said: “Vanderpengh’s hamstring injury was quite severe. We’re looking at the new year because 2023 is less than two months away,” said Postecoglou. “Madison is similar. She has a pretty bad ankle injury and will be out for a while. Maybe she’ll be back in the new year.”

In addition to Cristian Romero and Destiny Udoh, who were both sent off against Chelsea, Wolverhampton will be without half of their key players.

“I don’t think it’s the first time in my career that I’ve been so disrupted by a single game,” Postecoglou said. “We’ve lost four or five starters in one game. “We tried to have a normal week, we have too many absentees, but at the end of the day it’s important to be ready for Wolverhampton. We can’t look too far ahead.”

Meanwhile, Ben Davies returned from injury.

“Ben Davies is back in training this week,” Tottenham said, and Postecoglou added: “He’s the only one who can come back and play. It’s good because we’re going to need him.”
